I am unable to connect to the internet with my Gateway profile 4 computer, so I checked the drivers and I have found a couple of question marks on the drivers.  The question marks are on the following

Ethernet Controller

Multimedia audio controller

I have searched and searched but have been unable to have any luck.  Could anyone be of any help on how to get these drivers?  I also do not have a restore disc for the computer as it was bought used and we reinstalled windows xp on it.

Lets try the Ethernet Controller first.

What is the OS system and is it 32bit or 64bit?

Go to Device Manager and right click the Network Adapter with the Yellow Exclamation Mark next to it. Select Properties and under the Details tab select Hardware ID's in the dropdown box. Copy and Paste the first line in your next post.

Download and install this driver

Network Adapter Drivers for Windows XP*, Final Release

PRO2K3XP_32.exe

Edit: If this driver works, provide the Vendor and Device ID for the Multimedia audio controller in your next post.

That is the audio driver. You can get it here. Click on the hard drive icon. Provide a junk email address and name. It is from the Gateway site.
I have used this site before and it is legit.

I assume the Ethernet driver worked, correct?

Okay, I will see if I can get it and upload it to Dropbox. I will provide a link to Dropbox when I get a chance.

Edit: Here is the Dropbox link. Let me know when you have downloaded it so I can delete it.

That should have worked. Try the soundmax driver here.

SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio driver, version 5.12.01.3571

If the following driver does not work I am out of ideas.

It's the VIA AC-97 driver.

http://download.viatech.com/en/support/driversSelect.jsp

Use the dropdown boxes to select

Microsoft Windows > Windows XP > Audio > VIA AC-97

Download version 7.00b
