I'm a "fixer" 

 

I fix computer issues. 

 

You bring it to me, I will usually fix it.

 

Most important skill? knowing what to type into google.

 

Invariably it brings me here :)

 

and if it doesn't I make sure to look here.

 

I have been lurking around here for ages, finally decided to join.

 

25+ years experience.

 

My first computer was a commodore 64 with the 5 1/4 inch floppy.

 

My first real PC crisis was when I had formatted my Dad's business 8086 PC 10 MB hard disk drive, with his data on it.

 

I had to fix it. which I did with the help of others.

 

lets just say that I learned a lot that week :)

 

anyway. bravo to you all here. you do good work.

thanks for reply!you are a fixer,i like that,i am quite sure you some experience,something i dont have!

in my profile picture,this part popped out of my pc while i was dis-assembling dell laptop inspiron 5100

and even though i took some pics,this happenend to fast.not sure you can help,but would apperciate your time
