I managed to find HP Button Manager in the start up folder and deleted it, so as to stop it starting automatically  but I can't find the program (BM.exe) to run if I need to.

Not sure that I will need to anyway as I don't, know how It got on my computer; possibly when I installed an HP Web cam..

If you have not emptied your Recycle Bin Right click the Recycle Bin, Left click Open, find BM.exe and Right click the file Left click Restore.

Another option is to download and run Recuva available here... http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/recuva/  If a file is able to be restored, Recuva will list them and allow you to restore them.

Many thanks. I have recovered it and will transfer it to a different file so it will not start automatically.
