I am running win8.1, ESET 7 and have run MBAM and SSAS to no avail, nothing found that changes the situation.

Have booted into safe mode and the C drive is not filled up, it looks normal in terms of disk free space.

Noticed the hard disk almost permanently running earlier today. Restarted a couple of times and it was extremely slow starting up.

Any suggestions or advice/help gratefully received.

All sorted now.
