It looks like the User Profile is corrupted. In safe mode, create another user account. Exit safe mode and log into the new account. Does that work?

Press F8 at startup and select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

At the command prompt type the following

net user administrator /active:yes

Reboot the computer. You should now see the Administrator account. Login to that and add a new user. There should be no password required.

Can you login to the new account that was create in Administrator? Copy your mother's files from her old account to the new one.

Yes, I can login to the created new account. Okay, will do that. What about the Administrator account? Do I remove it or leave it?

Yes, you want to disable it by opening a command prompt in the new account.

Type CMD in the search box > Right Click > Run as Administrator

Type:

net user administrator /active:no
