wireless mouse not connecting with laptop

I have my Sony vaio laptop and wireless mouse for that but now my mouse is not detected by laptop.how to connect the mouse to the laptop??

I'll assume that you have the receiver for the mouse plugged in to one of the USB ports and I'll also assume that you have a good battery in the mouse. Have you gone into the device manager to see that both the touch pad and mouse are enabled?

Have you checked the mouse site to see if yours requires and drivers? If so, have they been downloaded and installed?
