I have a friend that has problems with all her web browsers on her Macbook Pro, the page htxxtp://www.shoppingate.info/Default.aspx keeps popping up(on safari and chrome). She runs OS X Mavericks, and the computer har recently been formatted(3-4 weeks).  You need additional info? I guess this problem is not as easy as giving me a link to a program which will remove this frustrating virus.

    Ignore the AdwCleaner tool.

    Run the other tools.

What about Anti-Malwarebytes, the link is just for Windows, is it not? Are you sure all this information is possible to get on Mac?

If it's not compatible with your MAC you will not be able to run it. You should get an error message. Try it.
