What Do You Mean By A Pop3 Server?

I have heard POP3 server being mentioned on several e mail sites.
Ans I really want to know what it means.

Essentially this is a server that allows you to send your email. SMTP is an email server that collects inbound emails. It is far more complex than that but for the average user that is as simple as it get.
You incoming email is receive in Outlook Express by setting up the sever screen in the Tools> Accounts> Your email> Properties in OE. You will see the inbound server is configured "pop.MyISO.com" and the outbound "smtp.MyISP.com".
