Hi,i have an Asus laptop and about 1mth ago my touchpad won't work i'm using mouse from desktop to post .2nd problem i also have a Dell Dimension 9100 desktop and i got my hard drive scrubbed as wanting to sell off,while connecting it back up i broke audio jack going into PC and when i power up monitor stays black with a msg it is in power safe mode i have tried what it says on monitor but to no avail,so i would be grateful if anybody could help with these problems thx.

1. You can uninstall/reinstall the touchpad drivers and see if that helps.

2. When a HDD is "scrubbed" it removes the OS from the drive. This renders the HDD unbootable, unless you subsequently did a clean install of the OS.

3. The "power safe mode" alert means the monitor is not rxing a video signal. Can you bring up the BIOS and is it readable?

4. The audio jack may just need a re-solder. More info is needed, especially a pix.
