It's possible, but not probable. Laptop motherboards are proprietary to the manufacturer due to the connectivity aspect. In other words The external connectors on a Toshiba are not the same as a Dell nor an Asus as examples. If you look up your existing laptop it's 'possible' there is an upgrade motherboard. But no you can't use a 'generic' motherboard off the shelf. One size does not fit all.
