There is a old mechanics trick which can help you to isolate the location of what is making the clicking sound.

Take a long handled wooden or plastic spoon, hold the spoon part against you ear, then start placing the handle end against the different components in the case.  I would suggest starting with the hdd, not the ssd.

thanks for the tip Arachibutyrophobia. Will try that , as well as the 3tb hd, I had also installed my old 720 gb hd. Can't read half of the files there and it keeps disappearing from view alltogether untill reboot and then sometimes not even then. I suspect that is the problem, i hope the spoon confirms that. Again thanks.

I didn't want to post what my suspicions were, but that clicking noise could be what is known as "the click of death".  When a hdd is physically failing it often makes a clicking noise.
