Please could someone help.I have upgraded my laptop with new hard drive and now trying to retrieve data on old hard drive which was unable to work. I have enclosed it and plugged it in to existing laptop which now has a updated new hard drive. The old hard drive is showing up as recovery E and I cannot seem to access any of the files they all seem either gibberish or there is nothing in the files - i.e when I go into user there is no files in music or video etc does that mean the files are gone or I cannot access them.

Many Thanks

Is there another partition on the old hard drive?  There should be another one, probably showing as F:
