I have three users on a Windows 7 computer. none will log on, they all give "Windows failed the logon. the remote procedure call failed and did not execute" it doesn't matter how many time i reboot the computer, all three accounts same error. Googling the problem produces spammy results. exact quote produces "no results for" "searching without quotes" message

Have you tried booting in "Safe Mode" and see if the problem persists.

Have you tried a startup repair?

Startup Repair - Windows 7 features - Microsoft Windows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/startup-repair

See comments by Acerts04 at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/527037/windows-7-wont-start/?p=3310874 .

it will start, just won't logon due to error. a couple different errors actually. the one mentioned and "the server endpoint failed the requested operation" startup repair says there is no problems and it makes no changes. both errors both bring up a "no results for" "searching without quotes" & spammy results on Google

its a desktop HP Pavilion a1423w

Ok we might try a system restore, i am assuming you ran startup repair from a disc. So the same procedure applies just choose the second option on the list and restore the system back to about a week before the problem started occurring.
