So I accidentally downloaded a Trojan and when I first saw the Trojan I had Mcafee and did a scan and it said it found it and deleted it. Through the months my computer starts to get slower and slower. Then I started to get concerned and found out the trojan wasn't deleted then my pc started saying adware detected so then I go into my programs and features list and start deleting some programs that Looked suspicious and I searched them and they were adware so I immediately delete them and my search speed and pc speed did get better and then I download
malwarebytes and it says I got a lot of PuP stuff and things that would harm my pc so I press the delete button and it tells me to restart my pc so I do so and then it gets me into automatic repair once it boots up and then it says it could not fix my problem so I try to get out of automatic repair but it keeps on going back to the automatic repair screen and option until I try the System restore button and restores my pc to one of my downloads and if worked but took time now I'm afraid to restart my pc and use malwarebytes again. I've been thinking about doing the scan and deleting but just not pressing the restart button but just turning my pc off I dont know if it will get me anywhere but it could be worth a try Im just afraid to do it. Please help thanks in advance.

Please follow the instructions in THIS GUIDE starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it HERE. Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

If this is Windows 8.1 DDS won't run.

Do this instead...

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatibale with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please copy and paste it to your reply.
