So, these passed few days my computer sometimes has been loading up to my old desktop -- I'm talking months old. The icons are different, the files are different. However, when I restart, it then loads up to my (current) desktop.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Is it just the icons and shortcuts? Or are you actually seeing historical documents too?
