Ok Guys

my imac is repaired but during the process of me messing with it I reset it back to the factory os which is leopard. Now I cant find or seem to download app store app so I can upgrade it to lion which I have already bought for my MacBook pro

so what I'm thinking is if I can network the imac & mac book pro together then I could use the mac book pro to download the upgrade to my imac and install lion that way.

only 1 problem..... I don't know how to do this or if it is even possible.

any help would be appreciated

Perhaps this article will help? http://www.macworld.com/article/1161087/install_lion_over_leopard.html

Officially you need to install Snow Leopard first, but there are work arounds as mentioned in the article above.

I'd purchase the lion/mountain lion/ mavericks update, downlaod the file then make a bootable USB to boot off of and install OS X from there. That is how I upgraded my 2006 Mac Pro from 10.4.11 to 10.7
