Explain this to a layman please.

I get the general gist of it and am looking at some of the tools mentioned in the HPA article.

What i really want to know about is can the DCO be used to supplant an original OS and then virtualize the native OS using the native OS's own structure as a controlling agent.

Second question allowed? Is it true to consider the Panther folder/application as a windows compatabilty model.
