Hi nasdaq,

I was out of town for the last 6 days and I did the chkdsk last night as instructed. It took over 2 hours and only completed 36% before I went to bed and left it running. It did report during that 36% that "Windows replaced a bad cluster in file 1094 of the name \hiberfie.sys"

When I check it this morning, it had rebooted itself and no report. I'm not sure how to obtain a report of the chkdsk

H again,

Did you have any thought to the TouchFreeze comment on an earlier post?

After searching the web for this issue, the only thing that corrects it is an installed program "Touchfreeze"

If you disable this program and the problem persists then it may be some driver or  hardware issue.

You can check your drivers with this tool.

Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI)
Secunia PSI is a security scanner which identifies programs/drivers that are damaged OR  needs to be updated.

Your tool found 6 programs out of date. I also turned down the mouse pad sensitivity.

Thanks
