I always seem to get the friends/family computers when they're in need of cleaning!
Windows 7(x64) malware/adware/junk.
I've used adwcleaner and malwarebytes, cleaned around 400 different items from the PC already, but there's still an issue inhibiting me from fully connecting to the internet.
While using it, I'm able to pull up google.com and facebook.com. I can search for things on google, but the links (and any other sites) take me to 'Unable to connect to the proxy server'
I cleaned the bulk of it last night, then left it on for a bit and checked back to make sure nothing had started back up (after a restart or two) and everything ran smooth. I thought I had it cleaned.
This morning, before handing it back over, I started it up again, and again, the proxy server was up. I checked processes, and noticed two iexplore.exe's running, googled and ran both malware/adwcleaner again and it picked up some more, I checked to see if the iexplore.exe was still running two and it was fixed, but i'm still having the proxy issues.
Also, I noticed when I run the malware and adwcleaner, her avg pops up with found viruses, even though i've had it disabled or turned off. Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch!
