I am trying to burn photos to a DVD+RW data/video disc but I keep getting message: windows can't write to the disc inserted. Please insert writable disc into drive E.

Am I doing something wrong, have I bought the wrong discs? Help wanted please.

I always used Nero or Roxio for burning DVDs with Vista.  There's also a free program called Imgburn you can download that will do the job.  I've never used DVD-RWs, I always use DVD+R or DVD-R.  I know with CD-RWs you have to format them before you can use them.

Good luck.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.
