When I first open chrome after switching on my machine, it gives me multiple small tabs opening at hte same time.

See picture

I need to close it and then re-open it for it to work

I don't know how to describe the issue thus cannot search for a solution online

Close most of those tabs before shutting it down.  Then when you open Chrome back up, it should only show but one tab.  If that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall Chrome.

Good luck.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.
