how do i turn "Start" the Windows Diagnostic Service Host that the OPTION is gre

Gentlemen & Ladies:


My WdiServiceHost is "disabled" & I can't "start" it because the OPTION is greyed out. 


Can anyone help me on this? 


Here is my computer INFO:

Windows Vista SP2

Ram 4GB/ Intel 2.6/ 300GB Hard Disk

First thank you very much for your reply. I followed your link and went to gpedit.msc, followed all steps, surprisingly I saw there was ONLY 1 account, ie, Admin, so I went ahead to ADD on, thee system allowed me to add, but NT Service\WdiServiceHost became WdiServiceHost  ONLY after add on. 


I went ahead re-start my laptop, but problem remains as I went in to check....


I understood it is "manuel" but, should'nt it Started instead of STOPPED ? 


I tried GPMC.msc, but no working,....ps, i don't think I have domain policies,...this is my personal computer,..


Any other suggestions,....Million thanks
