Internet Problem

I just recently deleted everything from my computer, and for some reason it wont connect to the internet, well it says i can do dial up but i have dsl, how do i get my internet to work?

Oh it also says a network cable is unplugged.

If you deleted "everything" from your computer, you may have deleted software needed to connect to your provider especially if you have a DSL connexion. The software would need to be reinstalled.

And how do i reinstall that? I dont think its gone...because it says i can do dial up...but i dont know...It says that there is a network cable unplugged...could that be it?

What or who is your internet provider. Cox Cable, Bellsouth... Just contact your internet provider and have them send you the software again. Or they may be able to set you up with a dialup connection to download it from the web.

I dont want a dial up connection...i have high speed cable....and if it says thats its DIALING that means its using my phone line right and i wont be able to talk on the phone and use the internet at the same time right? yeah...i dont want that....well my laptop is connected to another computer in my house i think...
