viruses on phone

I am wondering whether my phone is save for browsing the Internet without an antivirus. if not, which is the best antivirus for android phones.

That question is subject to much debate as long as you download only from the play store. As well as check all the permissions the app requests you are relatively safe. With Android you actually have to install malware for it to work. It's not like windows and self extracting malware.

But if you go to 3rd party sites and download you should probably have an AV. Since most of the good AV's in the Google play store are free, try a few and see which one you like. Like Windows personal preference is a big factor. I've used Lookout and Avast and am currently checking out TrustGo.

Zoner Anti-Virus for the phone is one I would recommend for a phone anti virus it does schedule scanning, call/text blocking, App scanning before installing and other features for both free and the paid version. I suggest trying it out :)
