Not sure if I should have posted this in the Linux forum but here we go.

Just want to know the best way listen to music in LinuxMintMate.  I 'm guessing with Brasero but really don't have a clue as to what to do.  Will I need an account somewhere to download music and then play from Brasero?

Right now I am listening to youtube for music but don't want to be using all the resources will I am online and creating documents.  Thanks, pcpunk

Hey there pcpunk. you probably have already had this answered over in the Linux Forums by either NickAu1 or Cat, but I would suggest staying away from Brasero and instead check out all the features of VLC Media Player.

It can play almost anything you throw at it and works well in Linux.

I think it's Cat's favorite media player.

Photobucket removed my cool flag - idiots!

Every calculation based on experience elsewhere fails in New Mexico.

Yes I have since read about this but I guess I need an account somewhere to avoid using youtube.
