I have been having problems up the ying yang with my Windows 7 on Inspiron 1525. I ran combofix, I ran numerous scans sfc /scannow. CHKDSK /r. several AV & Malwarebytes scans, just a few minor problems with each scan. 90% of my problems, Google doesn't recognize. I did an install repair, that didn't help, system restore didn't either. after the final chkdsk /r in recovery mode because "Disk check has been cancelled" kept coming up it found 12 bytes clusters. I boot up, all processes say my username rather than SYSTEM for system processes. I think that's what is preventing Windows from showing screensaver, dimming the display, turning off the display, or sleeping. hard drive light shows constant continuous activity
