Could someone explain what is happening here? Notice the time change.

The machine is starting, detecting and initializing hardware and services.

 

I see the machine operating very quickly and all of these things listed being done in less than a second, so the time remains constant in the excerpt.

why does the time count go backwards from .004 to .000001 after it detects the processor?  You should post the whole log because it does alot of other stuff before it gets to that point where the displayed running time is reset.

That is the time count of the entry, not the time it occurred... ie: how long it took

It's the same thing.... before the processor the 0's run right back to the first entry.

why does the time count go backwards from .004 to .000001 after it detects the processor?

Good question. I bet there is a simple explanation like timer start on processor detection which generates the initial .004, or start up entries pre-processor being preloaded by BIOS and the .004 is a code to activate further north bridge capabilities.

 

Anyone know this? I'm really curious now and don't know the right question for Google...

Its to do with the way your system hibernates and un hibernates.
