I tried to open Facebook without success. Was told that I had malware, I researched for help and tried to download Malwarebytes without success. I cannot download anything. When I try, it gets to 99% the computer shuts down and says "Explorer not Responding", but they all do the same thing, then the computer starts right back up and says, it unexpectedly closed.

Please help me, and have patience, I am not overly computer literate.

Thank you,

Kbambam

Boot your machine into safemode with networking...

How to start Windows in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with ...

Run these scans for now. :)

Please download Junkware Removal Tool and save it on your desktop.

  • Shut down your anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click it and select Run as administrator.
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Please attach the JRT log.

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Scan button.
  • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
  • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.

Thank you so much for your reply! I am at work, so I will try to do what you said as soon as I get home about 6:00 Central time. I hope I can get it to download, I tried to download several things while running in safe mode and it did the same thing, but I have not tried the "Junkware Removal" as you suggested. BTW, I have Windows 7.
Thanks, I am excited at the prospect of getting it cleaned up!
See you later LazerChicken
