After getting infected with Optizer Pro, I tried running JRT to remove any remaining elements of this product. When it run I got the message several times ' the system cannot find the path specified'. Although jrt appeared to be running, the message kept appearing and on completion it just vanished without trace?

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Adam

Are you running JRT from the Desktop?

There have been a few reported instances to the developer where JRT would not run properly. Sometimes there isn't a clear explanation as to why without the developer having access to more specific information.

You can ask the developer (thisisu) a question, report an issue or suggestion in this topic which he monitors for issues with JRT.

Yes, I did run jrt from my desktop. I am wondering if my windows account has been corrupted as I get warnings if I try to delete anything from the download folder? I have done as you suggested and raisde the same request on the Issues with Junkware Removal Tool topic.

Thanks,

Adam
