I have been using Microsoft PICTURE IT! 2002 on my old win xp laptop for years. That is ALL I use this computer for.  I can edit photo's very fast and just love it. I had to replace my crashed hard drive and then did a reload on a new HD of all necessary software including Microsoft PICTURE IT! 2002. Now I get an error when I try to open a photo for editing that states," Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. I've had this problem in the past and downloaded a PATCH from Microsoft... Now, any link to the patch that was located at MICROSOFT is gone. Anyone know where I can download this patch???

or it can be downloaded from MediaFire :  http://www.mediafire.com/download/qtdnjmbz02d/pi19299.exe

Somewhere in the midst of the above ramblings there must surely be a fix !

Thanks Hamluis for moving my post to the correct forum.

HUGE THANKS to Brian (Condobloke). All I was finding were dead links... I am now making several copies of that patch so this doesn't happen again. Soooo much appreciated ! Thank you my friend!
