As the release of intel's new chips are anticipated for 4Q and DDR4 is set to be released this fall... is it worth the immediate upgrade, or like DDR3 should we wait for speed for the new RAM to increase and price to decrease? This would clearly require a new MoBo as well. So, Im thinking a significant investment.

Wait a little bit, all these upgrades are unrequired, even for rendering and high-performance gaming, DDR4 and new chips aren't completely essential. Perhaps waitiing would be better. Or if you have the money to blow, then you could too.
