I have only just noticed that on my PC the version of J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 6 is in German.
I would like to install the English version which I have not too long downloaded. Can anyone tell me (explain) if all I have to do is to uninstall the installed version and then install what I have just downloaded. That appears to be the obvious thing to do but not quite sure.
Thanks for an expert advice / explanation.

Yes, do exactly what you said- uninstall the old one, then install the new version.
Hope this helps,
Charles

Hi Rookie 147

Did as you suggested but unfortunately when reinstall and I click on J2SE in control panel everything for java control panel still appears in German. Back to same situation as previously. Where do I go from here?

Hi Enthusiast

Your efforts appreciated. As per details on site provided, successfully changed language. My regional language was setup in German. Also did a test to see if all was well and that is also working fine.
