Laptop restarting iself repeatedly

Hi. Hope someone can help. My husbands laptop has been restarting itself repeatedly since some windows updates earlier. He now has a black screen with this message,across the top.


Fatal system error

System process terminated unexpectedly

Status of oxoooooooo (oxcoooooo1 oxoo1oo37©


Does anyone know what this means and how he can resolve it? Grateful for any help

Hi lizzylox and Welcome to Bleeping Computer :welcome:

While waiting for further suggestions, please post the laptop model next time and if the Vista installer disc is still present or available. If you believe that the problem started with Windows update and cannot perform any other steps during normal booting and safemode, try performing a system restore or see here and select a date and follow the screen instructions. Let us know how it went.
