Hello there, to whoever reads this! I'm having horrid trouble with my PC. A few months ago, both my Windows 8 desktop and Windows 7 laptop got a nasty malware product in the form of snap.do. I eliminated the problem (at the time) on my desktop without help, though my laptop needed more than a blind idiot taking the helm. I came to this site and got great help!

Unfortunately, my desktop seems to be lingering around again. Whenever I visit amazon or ebay or various other shopping sites, I get annoying pop-ups about other products. It's gotten to the point when I opened up Firefox one day (Chrome is my main browser of choice) and found out snap.do became my search engine again! Since then, I've notice that if I attempt to work around Google search in chrome, I come to a mysterious "safe-search" page.

Can I get some help here? A complete way to eliminate this damned thing?

Please follow this Preparation Guide, do steps 6,7 and 8 and post in a new topic.
Let me know if all went well.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook

Somehow, I can't run the DDS tool. I'm running Windows 8 and an error pops up saying that I can't run it in compatibility mode, even though I'm not trying to.
