I lost my gadget, is there anyway I can get it back? It was a quad core and ram digital gadget.

Microsoft dropped support of Gadgets because of security issues a while back. That makes the MS Gadget store pretty much pointless, so I don't know why the web page is still up. But anyway, if you remember the name of the gadget you can just google it and DL the gadget for a manual install. AAMOF, googling "win 7 gadgets" will bring up a huge laundry list of gadgets still available out there. YES, the will still have their security issues... caveat emptor.

Is there anything out there that will show what your 4 cores and ram are doing?

I am currently unable to ascertain which gadgets may, or may not, work on your rig. Why don't you try DLing them yourself and trying them out.

That's what I said, they don't work. The ones I can download don't work. Over the last year I've lost my CPU gadget a dozen times but it always came back but now I don't have one and I can't believe that Microsoft does not want you to have a CPU gadget?

What exactly do you mean, you lost it?itl be in the gadgets folder.C:\User\Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsSidebar\Gadgets

Its probably just not showng up.

Go into control panel and uninstall.then reinstall windows gadgets, see if that helps.

As said theirs still loads of gadgets to be had but if reinstalling them doesnt work the problem is likely with your system not the gadgets.

After 2 days and 6 re-boots my CPU gadget came back on it's own. Don't know why I lose this thing from time to time. I have the CPU gadget on all my computers but my main computer seems to lose it from time to time and now I have it back again. Don't know why?
