I am Really getting tired of Windows 8.

The next problem: My microphone does not detect any sound unless I blow hard into it with it a centimeter away from my mouth. I have tried other microphones and I have determined it is a computer problem. It just doesn't pick up my voice. I tried this site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03421813&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en but nothing worked.

Any help appreciated.

I'm assuming that you have gone into the device manager and made sure that the system is recognizing your model of mic.

Have you go to the mic manufacturer's site to see if they have a W8 driver for your model?
