I have been having the same issue for about 5 months now. One of my locations has Charter High speed internet as our backup internet connection. When we set this as our Primary internet connection through our sonciwall, I drop packets every 15-20 minutes or so. The packet loss is significant too. Basically it drops out almost completely every 15-20 minutes. However, it ONLY does this when there is a load on the line (set to primary). When it is set as our secondary connection it runs fine. I run an extended ping test DIRECTLY to the modem with Ethernet cable when I test. Any help would be appreciated because Charter is useless.

What does your provider say about the problem? [other than 'it's not our problem']

What is the speed of that connection? Are you always using a wired connection?
