I have a new asus laptop windows 8 which is stuck on "failure configuring windows features reverting changes stuck". I cannot get passes this screen. I cannot bring up the chalms bar or boot up in safe mode. The only other screen I can get into is the bios but can't do anything from there. I also do not have a cd/dvd drive or a usb boot thingo. It sits on this for more than an hour. I keep restarting but to no avail. Please help!!! Thanks

I have the same problem, help!! I really need someone to walk me through it, instructions for dummies style. My laptop goes straight to this screen and there's no option of accessing anything else so I can't do what other google searches for advice suggest because I'm stuck with this one screen,

Force it to boot into safe mode and try to do fix via startup repair.

How do you even force it into safe mode if you're stuck on this screen?

Advanced boot menu? F8 upon start up? Or the last resort is to turn off the main power when starting windows and turn it off again.

F8 does nothing. I'll keep trying.

I'm currently trying a refresh PC option which came up after pressing F8 a few times.
