I've been having heaps of trouble with ulwindowseek etc and also several other ad/spyware I cannot delete with either spybot s&d, spyware Dr. or any other I have tried. I also have something that seems to turn off my Virtual Virus Resident Scan (The Shield anti-virus and Firewall).
Spybot seems to have also made changes to my registry but I cannot determine which they are!

I am a constant downloader of movie files from "Warez" of all places so I am quite used to dealing with such problems ie: I recently had SpyFalcon which I managed to remove with Smitrem, thank god but these few have got me stumped.
I also visit www.keygen.us quite regularly and now I constantly get a scripting prompt and it freezes IE totally(only cancelling process works). I only mention these things as I know I am partaking in risky business, maybe Karma!!!

Anyway here is my log, see what you recon, I'll get back straight away via this board if u can help/want more info etc...
Thanks Oziboi :flowers:

Hello,

* Open hijackthis, click 'config' (bottom right)
Choose the tab 'misc Tools' on top.
Choose 'delete a file on reboot'
In the field, copy and paste next:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winmmt32.dll

Click open.
Hijackthis will tell you that this file will be deleted on next reboot and if you want to reboot now. Click Yes/ok
Your system should reboot now.

I see you are running Teatimer.
I suggest you to disable it because it can interfere with the changes you'll make on your system.
When everything is done and your log is clean again, you can enable it again.
If teatimer gives you a warning afterwards that some changes were made, allow this instead of blocking it.
How to disable TeaTimer during HijackThis Cleanup
Then, Download ResetTeaTimer.bat.
Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

O2 - BHO: Adobe PDF Reader Link Helper - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll (file missing)

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winmmt32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winmmt32.dll

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

Please set your system to show all files.
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Delete next files:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\96fc125f.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\96fc125f.exe

* Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE:
  • Close all instances of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer
  • Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab
  • Click the "Delete Cookies" button
  • Next to it, Click the "Delete Files" button
  • When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK
* Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox (In case you also have Firefox installed):
  • Go to Tools > Options.
  • Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
  • Click the Clear button located to the right of each option (History, Cookies, Cache).
  • Click OK to close the Options window
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing by clicking Clear All.
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the information.
* Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin
  • Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
  • Let it scan your system for files to remove.
  • Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
  • Press OK to remove them.
Open notepad and copy and paste next present in the quotebox in it:

cd %systemdrive%\
dir %Systemdrive%\96fc125f.exe /a h /s >> look.txt
start notepad look.txt

Save this as look.bat , choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
It should look like this: Posted Image
Doubleclick on it and notepad should open.
Copy and paste the contents of it in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
