i downloaded and ran an .exe file a few days agao

as soon as i opened it, the virus scanner (AVG) kept poping up saying VIRUS FOUND</b> Heal. and i would check ok, heal. but there were a LOT of virus messages that kept coming up.

i cant do a system restore bc i didnt have it on. i thought i did.

the next day it wouldnt connect to go online. i went into Safe Mode and ran every virus and spyware scanner i have. i did it in administrator. now i can go online, but it keeps saying virus found- heal. and i keep hitting heal.

i dont know what these wired processes are, but i just ended them and these virus propts STOPED coming up.

Hello Mr_Freeware
Well, since I can find nothing on any of the others, I get the feeling that they are viruses. However, there are a few legitiamte items out of those you have highlighted.
PDVDServ.exe is fine, it is related to Power DVD. You can find more information about this process here.
wdfmgr.exe which is part of Windows Media Player, and you really should leave this one alone if you are running windows Media Player.

Hope this helps,
Charles

now i cant copy and paste in these message windows right now.

what if i can tell you exactly were i got it. would that help? bc i know exactly where i went and what i downloaded to get this. is there anyway i can report these people or something. bc someone needs to go to jail for this.

You should have scanned the file with AVG, before opening it.

I suggest you post a HijackThis log for examination.
A member of the HijackThis Team will walk you through, step by step, how to disinfect your computer.
Once you post your log, don't make any changes to your system, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system.

Read How to post a HijackThis Log.
Please read, and follow, all directions carefully!!!

Then, run a log, and post it in the HijackThis forum, at this link. Do not, fix anything, yet.
A member, of the HJT Team, will help you out.
It may take a while to get a response, because the HJT Team are very busy. Please, be patient, these people are volunteers. They will help you out, as soon as possible.

NOTE:
Once you have made the post, please, DO NOT make another post in the HJT forum, until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. The first thing they look for, when looking for logs to reply to, is 0 replies. If you make another post, there will be 1 reply. The team member, glancing over the replies, might assume someone is already helping you out, and will not respond. So, just make your post, and let it sit there, until a team member responds. This way you will be taken care of, in the most timely manner.
