I bought an ONN brand mouse for my laptop and when I plugged it in, it installed the drivers just fine but then it wouldn't work at all. The laser on the bottom comes on but the cursor won't move and the buttons and wheel don't work. I've gone in the settings and made sure it's enabled so I know that's not the problem and the drivers are up to date. Anyone have an idea? I'm using Windows 8 by the way.

What does the device manager say about the mouse?

And, have you rebooted?
