It says "If you’re already running Linux Mint 17, you don’t need to reinstall."

Well then what do I need to do?  Does this happen automatically?

If you are attempting to install Mint for the first time, continue installing. I'm pretty sure V2 is an updated version of

a prior released install ISO image....meaning it would include updates that those who installed an earlier version would have

the same updates that they received on a regular basis.

More info. What says that? Etc.

Sorry I was a bit unclear, this is what the blog says.  It appeared to me to be something very new.

After reading the Link supplied by the OP I agree. It's just an update to the ISO. If after you Install Mint you need any of that the Mint updater will take care of that.
