Hi everyone, Im new on here.

I recently installed a new Asus X79 motherboard, (1) Mushkin 60gb SSD for booting only( with windows 7)

(2) WD 256gb caviar black hard drives to be run in RAID 1 configuration. And a Sony DVD/RW drive

The X79 sabertooth has the following Sata ports and was wondering which ports should be connected to what drives. Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

  Intel X79 Sata 6Gb  1/2 brown

  Intel X79 Sata 3Gb  3-6 black

  Marvell    Sata 6Gb  1/2 gray

You would probably want the SSD's installed on the SATA 6, with the other drives on the SATA 3.
