I have a brand new laptop and am building a gaming computer. The laptop has Windows 7 professional, and I want that operating system on the computer I am building. Could I transfer the operating system to the other computer? If so, would their be any problems with the other stuff on my laptop? Thanks in advance.

You can not transfer that windows operating system from the laptop to the new computer. This is a violation of Microsoft's terms and agreements. You agreed to this when you originally setup your laptop by putting a check in the box when it asked you to read and then agree to the terms to continue setup.

You can buy a new OEM or system builders version of windows 7 Pro and install it on your custom build. You will need to load all of your software and copy your data from one computer to the other.
