ssd or hdd problem?

hi guys i purchased a samsung ssd 120gb 840 evo today and wanted to use it as the main drive for my OS so i went ahead and installed win7 64bit onto it directly via clean fresh install,all has gone well now for my problem/s i wanted to use my western digital 1tb black series as my storage drive,thing is i cant see it in the hard disk drives section or devices with removable storage section in my computer tab,how ever my bios detects it and so does device manager and i can see it as unallocated space in disk management at the bottom,what steps should i take to resolve this,1 last thing should i do anything to my ssd to speed up proformance as i got software disk with the ssd,all help info welcomed.

Is the Western Digital (WD) drive formatted and partitioned?

 

Does it show up in Disk Management (DISKMGMT.MSC)?

i just this second loaded my win7 64 os disk and booted up as though i was going to reinstall win7 again as fresh,and noticed that the western digital hdd was unallocated so i partitioned it and now its accessible,the only thing i wanna know now is how to speed up my ssd...like should i use the samsung magician software provided?

Google "getting the most out of SSD". That's what I did. I used several different tips on mine, though I couldn't tell if it was any faster since I did them right after installing the OS. Can't complain either way!
