Hi, I am new to this site but thought I'd give it a try.

So, my laptop is messed up. I've tried re-installing windows from my factory restore partition and when I access the internet with a fresh windows everything suddenly goes wrong. Now my laptop is basically a heater (lol) and it runs its hardware through tons of svchost.exe processes to the point of failure and crashing. Also, there is a lot of network traffic which uses ports around the 40,000-50,000 range for both tcp and udp protocols. I don't know which programs are trying to access the internet (i've uninstalled just about any programs that would), or whether some programs like my nvidia driver (latest update 310.90) is infected because I blocked the nvxdsync.exe file with COMODO firewall and within 10 minutes there were 500+ blocked requests from that program alone.

I have disabled or removed a ton of services/programs and most of the startup programs. I do not have an antivirus at the moment, but I am using COMODO firewall. All of the latest windows security updates have been installed (I checked with Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer).

Well, I hope someone can help me. Here's my DDS report:

***************************************************

step2.gifIf you still need help, I would like you to post a Reply to this topic (click the "Add Reply" button in the lower right hand of this page). In that reply, please include the following information:

  • If you have not done so already, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.
  • A new DDS log. For your convenience, you will find the instructions for generating these logs repeated at the bottom of this post.
    • Please do this even if you have previously posted logs for us.
    • If you were unable to produce the logs originally please try once more.

  • Upon completing the above steps and posting a reply, another staff member will review your topic and do their best to resolve your issues.

Thank you for your patience, and again sorry for the delay.

***************************************************

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan again:

  • Download DDS by sUBs from the following link if you no longer have it available and save it to your destop.

    DDS.com Download Link
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explanation about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control can be found HERE.

As I am just a silly little program running on the BleepingComputer.com servers, please do not send me private messages as I do not know how to read and reply to them! Thanks!

Here is the new DDS report. I unfortunately do not have a windows disk, and there is only a recovery partition with the computer. Some other information about the problems are that the debug dump files and the system error memory dump files are being written to the hard drive at a rate of about 500 MB/Daily; also the search indexer looks like it is constantly finding new files even when I have no programs running.
