I recently put together a new computer, but I've been having trouble with constant blue screens whenever I'm away from the computer for more than half an hour. I'll usually come back to the system idle at the desktop, but other times a black error screen saying there was a problem which will then restart my computer once any key is pressed. The stop codes usually vary, but I've looked up a few and it seems like it might be a memory issue, but I'm not sure.

My setup:

HDD: Seagate Barracuda ES 1 TB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s 32 MB Cache
SSD: Transcend 128 GB SATA 6Gb/s
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL9 @1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00
CPU:Intel Core i7-4770K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H Desktop Motherboard - Intel Z87 Express Chipset- LGA-1150

Stopcodes: (Not sure how to spoiler things, sorry for the long post)

I'm sure the Mods will be able to help you in great detail. My experience I had with BSOD were due to bad RAM or mismatched RAM. I was assured it was the right kind. Well, maybe it was but?  I switched from 4gigs that came with the PC *Gateway* to 2 4gig sticks of PNY RAM, the max for my PC.  OK. Blue screen after blue screen. I'd be watching Hockey on a Slingbox feed and BSOD would happen constantly. Also. "Aww Snap" "He's Dead Jim" browser Crashes in Chrome and Firefox crashed too. EVEN in my Linux side Mint17 Chrome and Chromium and Firefox would crash after a little bit. I finally took the RAM out. Bought some Corsair Memory and I've not had a BSOD on Windows7 or any trouble on my Linux side either. I recognize some of those BSOD readouts there. Hope they can help you out, but for me I just swapped RAM and it's fine now.

Yeah, I'm hoping if it is hardware it's as simple as just swapping the ram.

Please...do not ever post what you consider a "bump" at this website...I usually tend to ignore such and may even not even bother to respond.  This is a community of different persons, each working on his/her own personal schedule.  Those trying to assist...do so when they are online, when they feel that they have something to contribute.

You or anyone else...posting "bump"...does not expedite the process in any way.

I suggest that you uninstall Spybot S&D...you were employing Tea-Timer (known to cause system problems) and SUPERAntiSpyware is a better application to use for antimalware.

You have the right RAM, right CPU for the board...no indications of CPU or hard drive overheating.

You have lots of errors indicating that there seems to be a problem with the app/game and with your nVidia drivers.  I can't interpret those because they really don't point in a given direction, IMO.

If you are serious about believing your RAM may be culpable....why haven't you run a memory diagnostic yet?

Sorry about the bump, I was worried the topic would be archived automatically if there were no posts for several days.

I was originally using BlueScreenView to search for the problem, and a lot of the searches pointed towards faulty RAM, so I thought that may have been the culprit.

However I did 8 passes of Memtest86+ (Didn't do test 9 however) with no errors. I do plan on completing test 9 within the next few nights, I just need a way to get my USB keyboard to work during. As a side note, I'm also occasionally receiving errors when trying to resume windows after hibernating, forcing me to reboot. I have to delete the data for the continuation of windows as well. Could this be bit fade as tested by test 9, or am I just reaching?

I haven't used the previous program which was causing the errors since posting, however I have had more problems. I also uninstalled Spybot and installed SuperAntiSpyware as suggested.

Above errors appear, IMO, to be problems with WMI, you can try the suggestions at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/wmi-error-under-event-viewer-with-error-code/aee1e6c9-28d5-4871-908b-8ed42a36a96e .

Problems with Chrome and Skype...should be self-explanatory, IMO, (uninstall/reinstall or check respective support site).

If all of these errors are caused by malware or hardware situations...trying to resolve them here in the Win 7 forum is a waste of time, since the errors would just be symptoms of problems outside Windows.  That same thought process would apply to an illegal install of Win 7 Ultimate.  If you are sure that you have no hardware problems...it might benefit you to initiate a new post in the Am I Infected forum.

Your Windows install dates from 15 May 2015...you have a huge laundry list of errors since then...something is definitely amiss and it seems unlikely that it's a Windows issue, IMO.

Thanks for the help. I've followed the WMI error instructions.

While I did have quite a few errors from steam/chrome/skype I don't think any of those caused issues- I've only had a bluescreen once since my original post containing my minitools list (Which is great!). I'm kind of concerned it may be a problem with my graphics card, though. This card is from my older computer, which was having some similar problems towards the end, but before I could really look into it the hard drive failed.

If this is caused by the graphics card (As the original minitools post pointed to) is it a faulty hardware issue or is it just caused by drivers?

"If" is a shaky bridge to build thought upon often, IMO.

As I've indicated...I have no clue what's up with your system.  If I had it before me, I could readily find out...but I don't have it before me.  I would find out by testing all reasonable suppositions and following the path they lead me to, including (ultimately) possibly doing a clean install of Windows since I consider that the best possible base from which to begin to check for possible hardware problems.

Sit back and see if any of the other members here have any thoughts on your situation...that's the best suggestion that I can make right now :).
