so my laptop got screwed and i need to get a new dedicated GPU.

but in the meantime it still runs on the integrated intel GPU that came in it. the problem is that the games i wanna run, run below 60 fps (somewhere around 45 fps) and this makes it look very jumpy with the fps dipping that goes on.

so im just wondering does anyone know of a program that can limit FPS of games to 30 frames per second, so that i could at least have a steady fps to play with?

There are a couple different ones, a quick google search pulls up http://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-mac-discussion-1000004/fps-limiter-cap-your-framerate-for-any-directx-89--26943828/ and http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1820131

You could also try turning the V-sync setting on.

thanks for the reply and the problem with turning on V-sync is that locks it to 60. but my games only run at an unstable 40-50 so i was looking for a program to lock it to 30 fps so it would be steady.

also i have found one, thank you for the help :)
