If I install the Classic Windows Menu, {Shell}  will I still be able to use Win 8  Apps Start Screen? How do you toggle between the two?

Although I use Stardock's Start8, I can toggle between the two (desktop and start screen).  In Start8, it's a simple configuration change, and I'd imagine it would be the same Classic Windows Menu.  However I recommend Stardock's Start 8, it's only about $5.

Best of luck.

Welcome,

I have my system set to boot to the desktop and the toggle is in the lower left corner -> left click for metro and right click for start menu

Not sure how it will work for you

If you use Classic Shell, it has a number of settings you can customize that I think you'll be happy with.  Mine boots to the desktop with the Windows 7 like Start button, but I can wiggle the mouse in the upper right corner and get to the charms.  You can also right-click the Start button and exit Classic Shell until you reboot.  I think you'd be happy with either Start8 or Classic Shell.  Classic Shell is free; $5 for Start8 is not bad unless you have a bunch of computers to put it on, then it can add up, especially if it's somebody else's computers.

Good luck.

Everyone with a computer should back his system up to an external hard drive regularly.

One of the menu options in the default installation of the Classic Shell is "Start Screen" which is the Metro interface.  Right at the top of the list <G>.
