default program

how to add apps in the default program in windows 8.1? because some of my apps installed in desktop is not working properly and i chek the default pc setting some apps is only listed.samsung ativ book 2 .thank you

If a program is not working properly I don't think making it a default program will change that. Have you gone into Control Panel -> Programs and Features and right clicked on the program to see if there's a repair option? If not have you tried to uninstall, reboot and reinstall the program?
